Instructions
Donuts
Pre-heat oven to 350F and spray a donut pan with cooking spray.
In a small bowl, melt butter & add earl grey tea leaves. Let this “steep” for 3 minutes.
In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda & salt, set aside.
In a large bowl whisk egg until lightly beaten. Then add melted butter & tea, and vanilla, whisking until combined.
Add both sugars and whisk for 1-2 minutes.
Add milk & yoghurt to the wet mix and whisk until combined.
Add your dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
Add your donut mix to a piping bag (or ziplock bag) and fill your donut pan.
Bake in the oven for 10-11 minutes, or until edges are lightly golden. Let them cool completely.
Glazing the Donuts
Add your icing sugar to a small-medium bowl & add half of your milk.
Add the vanilla bean paste and gradually add the remaining milk, checking that it doesn’t get too thin.
Dip your cooled donuts in the glaze and leave for 15 minutes to harden.
Notes
*Normal vanilla yoghurt can also be used.
